How do we increase engagement and access to higher education in rural areas?

Eighty percent of North Carolina’s 100 counties are considered rural. In an effort to provide “equal opportunities for all students” we must encourage investments in high quality education and high quality educators for our rural communities. Leveraging technologies and greater utilization of our state’s strong Community College System will allow us to meet the needs of all students regardless of location or economic status.
