How do we make North Carolina’s communities more livable?

One of our state’s biggest challenges will be to accommodate the needs of additional residents. Higher fuel costs and longer commutes have forced communities to confront residents’ desire for nearby choices in housing, shopping, recreation, and transportation. A sound infrastructure is also important to new and existing businesses. Access to broadband and highways are necessary for companies to get their products and services to their final destination.
