How can we improve healthcare access and grow an abundant and skilled health workforce to meet the demand?

Limited access to healthcare can lessen one’s quality and span of life. While largely determined by the ability to afford care or obtain health insurance, geography plays another critical role. Some counties, particularly those in rural areas, do not have enough healthcare providers to adequately serve its citizens. North Carolina should consider how to grow its healthcare workforce and innovate service delivery through new systems and technology.
